KERRY S. ROSENQUIST
Mr. Rosenquist entered the US Air Force in July 1973, immediately after graduating High School in New York. In February of 1974, he was stationed in Minot, ND, where he was a RADAR/Automatic Fire Control Technician on the F-106A/B model aircraft in the 5 FIS (Fighter Interceptor Squadron). Mr. Rosenquist was Honorably Discharged in March of 1981 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Shortly after his discharge, Mr. Rosenquist worked in the Seismic exploration industry as a Seismic Observer primarily in Western North Dakota.
In 1983, Mr. Rosenquist worked as a Police Officer with the Minot Police Department. While working the night shift, Mr. Rosenquist attended Minot State University during the day and obtained his BS in Criminal Justice, Cum Laude, in 1987. Subsequently, Mr. Rosenquist worked for the Grand Forks Police Department from 1987 to August of 1988, when he started law school at the University of North Dakota. Mr. Rosenquist obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1991.
Since his graduation, Mr. Rosenquist has practiced in various areas of civil law, including personal injury, family law, administrative law, probate and labor law.
Mr. Rosenquist also works in the area of criminal law and has taken to trial many serious felony cases, including murder, manslaughter, and criminal sexual behavior cases. His other experience includes appellate appearances in the North Dakota Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals in the state of Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Rosenquist co-authored an article in the North Dakota Law Review titled “Satisfaction of a Compelling Government Interest or Simply Two Convictions for the Price of One?” 69 ND.LRev. 915(1993) Jensen/Rosenquist.
Mr. Rosenquist resides in Grand Forks with Wanda, his wife of over 44 years. He has two children, Patrick and Nathan, a daughter-in-law, Jenna, and one grandchild. Kerry enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends and is known to be a bit of a practical joker.
