Roman grew up on a farm near Berthold, North Dakota. He received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
In law school, he served as the School of Law Senator to the University Student Senate, Director of Internal Moot Court, President of the Criminal Law Association, a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society, and a member of the school’s Trial Team.
In addition to his legal career, Roman serves in the North Dakota Air National Guard and has earned the 2020 North Dakota Air National Guard 119th Operations Group Outstanding Airman of the Year award.
Outside his professional life, he enjoys spending time at the lake with friends and family, attending concerts, and going on adventures with his dog, Goose.
